Open Doors at Islamo Centras

We are delighted that the Islamic Center held its first open doors day, full of activities for the whole family! The event started with a short but inspiring lecture on Jesus and Mary in Islam, highlighting not only their significance to Muslims but also the lessons we can learn from their stories as presented in the Quran. Visitors enjoyed tea, coffee, and sweets such as cake, baklava, and Turkish delights. Free literature about Islam was also offered, providing an opportunity to better understand this religion.
Event participants had the chance to explore the achievements of Islamic civilization in science and art, watch Arabic calligraphy workshops, and receive gifts with their names written in Arabic. Additionally, each participant, wearing VR goggles, had the opportunity to take a virtual walk around the Kaaba – the most important site of worship in Islam. Women were invited to try on Islamic clothing and adorn themselves with temporary henna tattoos. A special play area was set up for children, and all visitors enjoyed traditional pilaf.
At the end of the event, all guests received small farewell gifts to remind them of this warm and friendly day. Come, share knowledge, engage, and experience new impressions at other events held by the Islamic Center!
