Islamo centras at the Opening of Vilnius Jerusalem Pond Park

The opening celebration of Jerusalem Pond Park last Friday brought together a large number of local residents, families, and visitors who came to enjoy one of Vilnius’ most beautiful green spaces after its renovation. Islamo centras team also joined this community event, preparing a pleasant surprise for attendees by serving traditional pilaf (plov) to everyone.

As Islamo centras is located in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Vilnius, the park opening provided an excellent opportunity not only to introduce the community to local residents but also to build closer ties with neighbors. The pilaf attracted considerable interest—people not only tasted this dish, which is popular across many Muslim countries, but also spoke with the Centre’s volunteers, learned about its activities, and discussed its various initiatives.

A warm and friendly atmosphere prevailed throughout the event. Many visitors appreciated the opportunity to become acquainted with different cultures, while spending time together in the beautifully renovated park served as a reminder of the importance of fostering an open, united, and well-connected neighborhood.
